When do Football practices begin and where will they be held?

Practices are scheduled to begin August 1, 2023 and will be held at both the Triangle Field Complex and Hillsborough Elementary School depending on the age group.

When is the first game of the season and where are games played?

The first game of the season is usually the last Sunday in August. We DO play Labor Day weekend. Games are played on Sundays. Home games will be held at both Hillsborough High School and the Triangle Road Complex. Away games will be played in towns within 1 hour driving radius.

How will playing time be monitored, equal time for all?

Pop Warner requires all teams to use MPRs (Mandatory Play Rule). MPRs have to be turned into the conference after every game to ensure compliance.

What happens if I already have vacation planned sometime in August/Labor Day?

Please inform the Sports Directors or Coaches as soon as you can for planning purposes.

How will coaches be determined?

Coaches will be chosen after the registration process based on past coaching experience.

What will the registration cost be?

Do I need a medical, birth certificate or other documents?

Yes as per Pop Warner guidelines. Forms are available and on the website. There will be a link to required forms in your registration confirmation email. Please visit here for more information.

If there are 2 teams at an age level, how will they be divided?

Players will be chosen via a coaches draft.

What is the difference between local and travel flag teams?

Travel flag teams will play under Pop Warner and will play on Sunday mornings. They usually play a similar schedule to the tackle teams. Away games will be in towns within a 1 hour driving radius.

In-Town flag teams will play NFL Flag with games on Saturdays. We are in need of an In-Town Flag football Manager. Please email the football directors if you’re interested in volunteering for this position.
