Our teams participate in the
Mid-Jersey Youth Field Hockey League. We play teams from towns in neighboring counties including Somerset, Hunterdon, Middlesex, Morris, and Summit. Games are held weekly and each team will play approximately 8 games.
The program is open to girls in K - 8th grade.
Teams will be formed based on grade level in the fall of 2024:
- Mini Stix (Grade K - 1): Clinic-based only (no games)
- 2/4 Little Stix (Grade 2 - 4)
- 5/6 Junior Stix (Grade 5 - 6)
- 7/8 Senior Stix (Grade 7 -8)
No prior experience is required to play at any level.
The sport of field hockey will be introduced in a motivating, enthusiastic atmosphere where fundamental skill building will be coupled with strategic game instruction. Practice will include stick work, concept drills, offensive and defensive game strategy, and conditioning. Coaches have varied experience with the sport and include former players, HHS alumni, current HHS Players, and interested parent volunteers. We are always seeking parent volunteers who are interested in coaching– please contact the program Director for more information.
