2026 Spring Girls Lacrosse

Hillsborough Jr Raiders Girls Lacrosse runs spring programs for girls in grades K-8. We are part of the Jersey Girls Lacrosse Association (JGLA). As a member of Conference F, we play girls youth travel teams from local areas including: Somerset, Hunterdon, Mercer & Middlesex Counties.

Teams are made based upon grade

Little Laxers (K-2)

3/4 Laxers (Grades 3-4)

5/6 Laxers (Grades 5-6)

7/8 Laxers (Grades 7-8)

No prior experience necessary for any of these levels.

The sport of lacrosse will be introduced in a motivating, enthusiastic atmosphere where fundamental skill building will be coupled with strategic game instruction. Practice will include stick work, concept drills, offensive and defensive game strategy, and conditioning. Our coaches are US Lacrosse Certified and are parents, former/future college lacrosse players, former HHS alumni, and current HHS Players. We are always seeking parent volunteers who are interested in coaching - please contact us for more information.

Little Laxers (K-2) Practices at Woodfield Park/Mr. C.’s Field, Hillsborough, beginning in April. Day/time TBD based on parent volunteer availability - likely Sunday mornings. Scrimmages or a “play day” against other local K-2 teams to be scheduled.

All other teams (3/4 Laxers, 5/6 Laxers, 7/8 Laxers) begin practice indoor in late March (March 19, 20, 26) at Iron Peak and continue practices April-May on Monday and Wednesday evenings at Woodfield Park in Hillsborough. We do not practice during Boro spring break. Games (home and away) are held once or twice a week. The game schedule varies depending on home team availability and inclement weather. For Grades 3-8, there will be approximately 8-10 games during the season as well as potential participation in a single day weekend tournament/play day. Our schedule for 7/8 considers and accommodates the middle school lacrosse team schedule.

Our season for all programs concludes in late May.

2026 Costs:

Little Laxer $120/player (includes t-shirt)

Registration by April 1 or late fee of $35 will be charged

Grades 3-8 $ 250/player

Work Bond (Gr. 3-8 only) $175/family

Work Bond - refunded with 4 hours of work bond service during the season.

Additional Information:

Uniforms (Gr. 3-8): JGLA requires all girls to wear the same uniform. The purchase is the responsibility of the player family. Jr. Raiders Girls Lacrosse and Field Hockey use the same uniform. Information about uniform purchase will be provided after registration. Cost is approximately $80.

Required Equipment for all levels: Girls lacrosse stick, lacrosse goggles, cleats (sneakers for Little Laxers is fine) and mouthguard (please no white, clear or green). If you have questions about equipment, please reach out. Do not let equipment cost be an obstacle to joining the program - contact us if this is an issue and we will work with you to find the needed equipment.

US Lacrosse Membership: All players must have US Lacrosse Membership good through June and are required to have been age-verified. You will be prompted during the registration process to either provide your current US Lacrosse membership number or to sign up for membership directly with US Lacrosse. Membership, which costs $35, is good for a year.

Volunteer! Our program is entirely volunteer run, including all directors and coaches. It takes significant time and support to make the program a success. Please consider joining us to help make the season the best experience for all involved!
