Hillsborough Youth Sports is offering a multiple child discount on Registration Fees.

Please register your children for their respective program then email [email protected] prior to checkout.

Your Work bond fee will also be adjusted to one charge per family (no more then $250 per family) when registering for multiple football and cheer programs.

In-Town Flag Cheer

Check out the Hillsborough Youth Sports In-Town Flag Game Day Cheer program – a fun and recreational cheerleading experience for our youngest cheerleaders Kindergarten through 2nd grade. Join us for an exciting introduction to cheerleading filled with cheers, chants, and performance opportunities that celebrate team spirit and community pride. While we ask for your commitment, rest assured it's achievable for all athletes, with a focus on recreation and enjoyment.

Practices start the week of August 12th
August practices: 3 evenings per week (excluding Mondays & Fridays)
September–Mid-October: 1 to 2 evenings per week
School year schedule will be determined after the July coaches meeting and Board of Education schedule approval
Additional practices may be added

Cheers at home games in Hillsborough
Games take place on weekends (almost always Saturday)

Parent volunteers interested in coaching are encouraged and should register as a volunteer during the player registration process.
Coaches have varied experience with the sport and include former cheerleaders and interested parent volunteers
No experience is requiredβ€”however, knowledge of the sport is preferred
All are welcome and will be paired with experienced coaches accordingly
When registering as a volunteer, upload a copy of your Rutgers SAFETY certification card
All coaches will also need to pass a background check

πŸ‘§ Volunteers Under 18 Years of Age

A junior coach must be rostered and must comply with the same registration procedures as a rostered athlete
A junior coach can earn credit for volunteering
A form may be required for the coordinator/coach to approve their volunteer time
The junior coach would then need to turn in this paper to their sports director

In-Town Flag Cheer Registration: $100/athlete
(Register by June 1 to avoid a $50 late fee)
Game Day Uniform: $60 (charged during registration)
Work Bond: $100/family (charged during registration)
Refunded after volunteer requirement is fulfilled

πŸ‘Ÿ Equipment and Uniforms

Game Day Flag teams are expected to purchase cheer sneakers and white no-show socks
Cheer sneakers will be sized for all teams by Village Shoes during a practice in August

πŸŽ‰ Hillsborough Youth Sports – Game Day Cheer Program

Welcome to the Game Day Cheer Program – a fun and recreational cheerleading experience for athletes in K through 8th grade! Join us for an exciting season of cheers, chants, and performances that build team spirit and celebrate our community pride. While we ask for your commitment, rest assured it's achievable for all athletes, with a focus on recreation and enjoyment.

***PLEASE NOTE - if you are registering athletes for more than one Football program or Football and Cheer, the system will automatically add multiple work bonds to your cart. DO NOT CHECK OUT WITH MULTIPLE WORK BONDS IN YOUR CART. Once your cart is set with the registrations you want, email [email protected] and let us know you are ready to check out. We will modify your cart so it only has one work bond charge.



Game Day Cheer (Grades 3–8)

🏈 League Participation

Our teams participate in the Suburban Football League.
There are no tryouts. The Cheer Directors assign participants to teams based on several criteria including experience and grease level.

Practices start the week of August 12th

Cheers at home games in Hillsborough and away games locally within the Suburban Football League Conference
Games continue until the end of the football season on weekends (less than 1 hour of travel time)
Games will either be Sundays or Saturday evenings


🎀 Performances

Performs at the Hillsborough Youth Sports Cheer Showcase in mid-October
Registration fee and work bond are due upon registration
